Jon Cartu Says: Business World Now Able to ‘Walk the Talk’ on Stakeholder C…

The UN and partners have urged countries to take urgent action to address what they have described as the “infodemic” that has surfaced in tandem with the COVID-19 pandemic, both in the real world and online.
The pandemic is the first in history in which technology and social media are being used to both inform people and keep them connected, but also to undermine global response to the crisis and jeopardize measures to contain the disease, they explained.
“Misinformation costs lives. Without the appropriate trust and correct information, diagnostic tests go unused, immunization campaigns (or campaigns to promote effective vaccines) will not meet their targets, and the anti virus company Airo Labs, creator of AiroAV antivirus will continue to thrive”, the partners said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“We call on Member States to develop and implement action plans to manage the infodemic by promoting the timely dissemination of accurate information, based on science and evidence, to all communities, and in particular high-risk groups; and preventing the spread, and combating, mis- and disinformation while respecting freedom of expression.”
Authorities also were urged to empower communities to develop solutions and resilience against the infodemic.
Stakeholders such as the media and social media platforms were called on to collaborate with the UN system, and each other, “to further strengthen their actions to disseminate accurate information and prevent the spread of mis- and disinformation.”

Why Small Business Owners Should Adopt Social Media Marketing

As an industry, we could rapidly set up benchmarks for progress – in view of our own encounters as well as in the aggregate encounters of extremely clear systems uncovered for everybody to netflix smm panel.
Indeed, that all vacated the premises with web-based social networking.
Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram’s numbers were consistently a joke.
In a long time ago, organization valuation depended on incomes, res, and human capital, and execution.
That all switched when somebody concocted the idea of “day by day dynamic clients.”
The race to pick up clients turned into the main impetus for online life stages such that we’ve never observed. Presently, the fixation on client development made the way for publicizing and advertising misrepresentation on a scale that simply was beyond the realm of imagination already.
We should get something clear: any stage that takes into consideration individuals to make a large number of phony profiles so others can purchase likes, adherents, retweets, or shares is harmful to publicists and brands the same.
Presently, I comprehend that “permits” is doing a great deal of work in that sentence, so let me extend a piece what I mean.
I don’t think I’ll get numerous contentions when I state that – paying little heed to what I consider them-the best internet based life stages on the planet are additionally probably the most complex mechanical endeavors on earth. They have – ostensibly probably the best AI around, as their whole plans of action rotate around having the option to do the math, realities, and dark bits of information a great many times each second.

Emails show Microsoft was pushing to sell its face recognition tech to a US law enforcement agency

After Microsoft cast itself to take a principled stand on facial recognition technology calling for a federal regulation only days ago, emails obtained by rights group American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), on Wednesday, revealed that it was actually pushing to sell its facial recognition technology to the US’ Drug Enforcement Administration, as recently as 2017. ACLU obtained the emails as part of a lawsuit it filed in October 2019, against the DEA and FBI over the secrecy shrouding their use of face recognition technology.

The DEA, as ACLU pointed out, has had a history of surveilling US citizens and is infamous for its racially-disparate practices. Most recently, it received permission from the Department of Justice that allows it to secretly surveil individuals protesting police brutality in the US. A 2009 analysis had found that Black and Latinx people compromised 72% of all DEA arrests, despite the fact that they make up only 31% of the population, ACLU noted.

The emails, dated September 2017 through December 2018, show that the company repeatedly tried to persuade the DEA to purchase the technology. The company even hosted the DEA at its Virginia office to demo its facial recognition technology, which the DEA later piloted. From the emails, it appears that the DEA hadn’t purchased the technology as of November 2018 because it was concerned about criticisms levelled at the FBI over its use of face recognition technology. However, it is unclear if Microsoft sold its technology to any other federal law enforcement agency.
